It was only supposed to be a simple commercial. It ended up being the
beginning of the end for mankind.
Min Ji Lee had been contracted to appear in a French commercial. It was
supposed to be a parody of Asian monster movies. She was supposed to
show up as a giantess, fight a guy in a rubber suit dressed as a dinosaur
and then promote a shampoo or soft drink or... something.
She was planning to phone in her performance, even more so when they
showed her the ridiculous mini-dress she was supposed to wear. As she
got dressed, she made a mental note to fire her agent when she got back
to Korea.
She didn’t even pay attention as she walked from her dressing room to
the sound stage. She just pushed open a door and sauntered in, intent
on getting this job over with.
She wasn’t prepared for what she saw.
It was a model of Paris - perfect down to every tiny detail. Miniscule cars
that actually moved, bug-sized people who fled from her. She could even
hear their tiny screams.
She was so engrosed in the model that she started walking. She was too
distracted to notice that the door she had come in had vanished into thin
air.
After 10 minutes of wandering, she still couldn’t find anyone who looked
like a director, or a camera man or even a guy in a goofy rubber suit.
She stood, around awkwardly, waiting for the crew to show up. After a
while she was bored. She started paying more attention to the little model
beneath her feet.
She still couldn’t believe how real it all looked. The buildings crumbled
like a real building would in an earthquake. Water and gas pipes burst
as she walked along the streets. Ant-people fled for their lives, crushing
into tiny red smears when her high heels landed on them.
Wait... red smears? These things were actually alive?
Realization slowly dawned on her. This wasn’t a model. This was real.
Somehow, she was really a kilometre-tall woman roaming the streets of
Paris. For a second, panic gripped her. Surely she had killed hundreds,
if not thousands of people already!
She had a split second to make a decision. She could try to minimize the
damage and find a way to return to normal. But would anyone believe that
she didn’t know? Would they still arrest her as a murderer?
What if she stayed at this size? Surely those little bugs couldn’t do anything
to her at this size. If they tried, she could swat their planes out of the air
like gnats, and crush their armies likes scraps of paper.
In that moment, her mind was made up. There was no going back now.
She pressed on, deeper into the heart of Paris. She now relished the
sensation of buildings crunching like sea shells under her shoes. She
no longer felt bad about all the deaths she had caused. After al, who
feels bad for stepping on bugs?
And so it was that humanity lost its dominant position on Earth. Mankind
was now just a race of playthings for one beautiful, gigantic, Korean actress.

I've only just seen this 2 years on, such beauty, such majesty, such power, and utter disdain for everything crunching underfoot..........it was an enjoyable sensation for her grinding everything under her heels........great collage.
